A lot of people suffer from this disease, but few of them notice it until there are severe symptoms. That’s why regular monitoring of your blood pressure is necessary.

    What is high blood pressure?

High blood pressure is also known as hypertension (HTN). It is a long-term medical condition in which blood pressure in arteries is persistently elevated. Its signs and symptoms are headaches, shortness of breath, tinnitus, vertigo, altered vision, and fainting episodes.

    Monitoring blood pressure at home

It is measured by using two readings in millimeters of mercury denoted as mm Hg.

    • Systolic Pressure (1st reading): Its average value is 100-120mm Hg

    • Diastolic Pressure (2nd reading): Its average value is 60-80mm Hg

It is very important to measure the blood pressure accurately. For this purpose, digital blood pressure monitors are used.
